CFIC is as an innovation and collaboration space to support and connect initiatives across the Department of Defense (DoD).
CFIC uses various, trusted DEFENSEWERX mechanisms, including Collaboration Events, Assessment Events, and other tech scouting events to find solutions.
CFIC aims to be a valued partner that identifies innovative solutions to provide Army Cyber with a competitive advantage.
CFIC deploys market research and tech scouting tactics to target a broad swath of industry providers and outreach techniques to grow and engage our Ecosystem.
CFIC offers a site for industry, academia, government, and non-government entities to conduct science and technology, research and development, collaboration, and innovation activities.
The Cyber Fusion Innovation Center (CFIC) is a DEFENSEWERX Innovation Hub in partnership with the U.S. Army Cyber Command via an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement. Established in December 2020, CFIC’s mission is to aid the U.S. Army Cyber Command in defending the Department of Defense Information Network, delivering cyberspace effects, and rapidly developing and deploying cyberspace capabilities.
An Other Transaction Agreement/Authority (OTA) is a legal contract with the federal government that is not a grant, cooperative agreement, or a federal contract. The federal government uses OTAs to streamline research and development, prototype development, and other projects with nonprofit research institutions.
